Excelent location. Very close to the center. Parking is a big plus. Staff very nice. Room very clean. Old furniture but confortable. Breakfast was good for the price.

The hotel was very comfortable with a large atrium that added to the feeling of space and was very welcoming.
We were surprised by the size of our room which was more like a full suite than a junior suite.
The decor was in keeping with the age of the building.
The location was great right in the middle of Nerida with the square with many resturants right outside the door.
All the attractions and sites were within walking distance with the Castle near the square with the Roman bridge across the river great for a walk after dinner.
Lots of people had dogs with them in the hotel which was different but they were all well behaved.
With a convenient location, close to the old roman bridge and just 20 minutes’ walk from the city centre, this modern 4-star hotel offers high-quality spacious luxurious accommodation.

Location perfect, close to motorway for an overnight stop. Very welcoming reception and Dulce spoke perfect English.
See review already answered. A good place for a short stay if you want to visit Merida but do not want the hassle of staying in the town itself. So history and (Roman) architecture are only a few kilometres away.

We had an excellent two night stay at Don Alvaro.
We had an excellent two night stay at Don Alvaro. Lovely property and room with fantastic hosts. We ate both nights there and the food was very good, excellent breakfast. It is a good place to stay to visit Merida nearby.
A fabulous welcome from Pepe as we parked outside of the hotel. We were served drinks in the sunlit courtyard. We asked for dinner and were very glad we did. It was terrific home cooking but with lots of attention and love put into the cooking.
The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
Breakfast was very well presented.
A real gem!

Hotel was beautiful and the couple who own it are the loveliest people. I can’t fault this place at all, the homemade food was all so delicious and the host’s were some of the friendliest people we’ve ever met. Will definitely be visiting again!
