Beautiful grounds, salt water swimming pool with lounge chairs all around, super comfortable bed. Really beautiful property. Loved it. One of my best stays on the Camino!!

As a seasoned Camino walker, I've stayed in my fair share of hostals and guesthouses. But Casa Rico de Medín stands out as a true gem. This beautifully refurbished farmhouse is a haven for weary pilgrims (and design enthusiasts!).
The moment you arrive, you're struck by the stunning architecture. The conversion from a traditional farm has been done with a keen eye, blending the original stonework with modern amenities. The minimalist style throughout the lodge creates a sense of calm, and the exposed stone walls add a touch of rustic charm.
One of the highlights of my stay was the food. Everything is homemade and uses fresh, local ingredients. Breakfast, which was included, was a delightful start to the day: fluffy scrambled eggs, seasonal fruit, and the creamiest yogurt I've ever tasted.
Lunch and dinner are also available, and while the menu is simple, the dishes are beautifully prepared. We were even fortunate enough to be gifted some Xenos (a local Galician turnip greens) on our pilgrimage, and Lucia, the wonderful host, kindly prepared it for us. It was a delicious and thoughtful gesture.
But what truly sets Casa Rico de Medín apart is the exceptional hospitality. Lucia and her team go above and beyond to make you feel at home. They offer helpful advice for navigating the Camino, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and truly embody the spirit of Camino camaraderie.
If you're looking for a unique and luxurious stop on your Camino journey, Casa Rico de Medín is the perfect place. You'll be treated to stunning architecture, delicious homemade food, and genuine hospitality that will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to continue your pilgrimage.

We loved the atmosphere of the common room, but the individual rooms were very cold. The staff was outstanding and loved the attention that was given to us.

I wish we would of found this place sooner, I could not find another flight to stay longer, I was so in love with this place, it was beautiful, I am even thinking of going back to Spain just so I can stay at this place, the food from the restaurant down the street was fantastic, the best I had my entire 3 weeks I was in Portugal and Spain. The tranquility of this place was breathtaking. I can't wait to go back.

The location for us was perfect! We had a car so could get around to see as many of the sights recommended!!
The venue is predominantly used by walkers and the staff are very attentive to their needs!
There is a lovely woodland walk along the stream to the river behind the water mill.
The food on offer is of great value.
What a beautiful place to stay! I was walking the Camino and so happy to spend a night at this lovely place. It is more home than a hotel. The owner makes you feel very welcomed. The yard is extremely beautiful filled with flowers and a sparkling swimming pool…a lovely delight after a long day on the Camino! I highly recommend!
The staff were very helpful and friendly, answering all our questions about our arrival , helping with our particular requests and they were very welcoming when we arraived. The room was very clean and comfortable, the hotel itself was lovely and the breakfast was wonderful. Thank you to everyone. We would love to stay again
Modern interior and furniture in a room quit new, comfortable bed and pillows, possibility to have a dinner right in hotel, lots of parking spots next to hotel, all required facilities in a room, very modern and clean bathroom, 15 min drive to airport, very good WiFi in whole hotel
A truly beautiful hotel, full of rustic charm with everything you could ask for. The staff went out of their way to make me, a solo traveller, feel welcome and offered tasty home made food in the adjoining cafe. This was definitely the best place I’ve stayed on the Camino so far!
Amazing place with garden, creek, rural place. We bring our dogs and was very good let them free to walk and play. We took dinner and breakfast at the hotel and also use their shuttle services from and to the Santiago's Way from were we start and stop our way.
property was very good had a restaurant/coffee shop onsite
rooms were spacious and very clean
would recommend this hotel was close to the airport and provided a shuttle from the hotel to the airport at no cost
excellent place to stay, we walked Arzua to O Pino to slow down our walk into Santiago de Compostela ,
we had an amazing lunch at a little bar around the corner and then a siesta and swim in the afternoon.
The staff was very helpful. The hotel had an attached bar/restaurant. This was a very quiet location that was very nicely appointed. The room was very comfortable and the decor very fresh and modern.
Lovely rural hotel, recommended. We arrived early but somebody lugged our case to the room. Very private, lots of character, hotel looks like a converted farmhouse.
