The hotel was located a little further off the main road than we'd thought and it's a 10-15 minute drive to the nearest town (Velez Rubio) through country lanes. Hotel and surroundings were still showing traces of recent storms, rain and high wind and the potentially attractive pool area alongside the hotel was distinctly unappealing. Warm welcome from British owner but we were the only guests and supper (highly thought-of in reviews though pricey) not available. However a quite extensive cold supper was prepared for us and served in their attractive dining room and was much appreciated. The room was fine with an excellent view and an entirely satisfactory breakfast was served next morning. We probably didn't see it at its best but the the hotel deserves to do well.

The location of hotel was good for me as I like walking and it was only a short stroll to the city centre. The breakfast was very good and well worth the money. Excellent selection of food and drinks. I have booked several more breaks at this hotel over the next few months.
It is only forty minutes drive from home so is ideal for me.

The host is very nice and hospitable! Breakfast was really good and tasty, especially homemade pancakes. We loved how fresh the air was and almond trees that surrounded the house :)

The host, Nick, was on site and greeted us on arrival. He was very welcoming and explained that his partner normally completed the check in process but it was his task as she was away. There was a reception area and bar and a simple breakfast could be prepared for us. We chose to use the apartments kitchen which was complete with kettle, toaster and hob.
Nick showed us to the apartment and showed us how things worked and left us to settle in.
GPS ( Google maps) took us directly to the property, which was clearly signed. Distance from the motorway is short but the area around is agricultural and almost silent. We saw birds and rabbits from our windows and there are wild boar in the area but they are very shy and rarely seen.
We spent time sitting outside, enjoying the peace and sunshine.
