Beautiful room with a giant bathtub and a personal garden. A lot of ceramic works made by the owners. We had a beautiful 4 hour hike along a mountains river directly from the hotel and also did their ceramic class.

I chose El Retiro as an escape for one night, for the views of the mountains in the day and of the stars at night. This place did not disappoint. The covered terrace has fantastic views and features a tiny pool in which you can cool off. There is a nice sofa and tables and chairs to help you get comfortable on. Inside there is an airconditioned room with sofa and dining table and a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, hob, and sink. There is a shower and toilet in an adjacent room. There was a barbecue on site and a big bag of charcoal which we brought up from the storage area beneath the terrace. We brought our own barbecue tools with us - I don't recall the room having tools of its own. We cooked our meal on the barbecue between the end of the house and the natural rock - very romantic!
