The hostess was superb even making restaurant reservations for us and THEN leading us to the restaurant which was somewhat out of the way. Unfortunately, we errored in taking a room key with us upon departure which will be returned as soon as possible.
The Hotel Rural Sucuevas is just 15 minutes’ drive from the Picos de Europa Mountains. It features a helipad and charming rooms with antique furniture, original artworks and free Wi-Fi.

Cristina and Cesar, the owners, were true “hosts”. A little off the Camino, Cardoso, 30 min walk from Villahhorme towards the next Camino stop. There is a great restaurant nearby. Unfortunately, there was a major storm in the area, but the hosts did everything they could to make the stay relaxing and comfortable, i.e. old newspapers to dry my hiking shoes. I was the only guest during the storm.
