Really good location if you want to visit San Sebastian and surrounding area, especially if you have a car. Really easy to get into San Sebastian via train, only took 15 minutes. Staff were very nice and helpful. The room was basic but good, no aircon but the fan was great to keep us cool. Good place and good value for money.

Typical Basque Inn in the mountains above Getaria. Great shower! Nice drive the next morning.
Orio is a lovely little sea side town. Not picturesque as such, the beach is the main draw and the town has shops, bars and restaurants enough to make a stay fun. The locals all seemed very friendly and welcoming. In this area few speak Engligh (one attraction for us) but all the shop and restaurant staff were patient while we worked through Google Tranlate or my little phrase book.

Orio was a small town 20 mins drive from Getaria, which was the town we actually wanted to visit. Orio was unremarkable. Nothing stood out for comment particularly. It was where we could find a hotel for the night in the area.
Orio is a beautiful town, we didn’t meet any staff as the place is all via online check in. the room was clean and safe but located over the busiest bar in the town. if walking EL Camino this can be great but also be a curse due to noise levels. people were drinking outside until 5am. we couldn’t adjust the air con and when we text the owner he advised to open a window however the noise levels were too much. lovely place if you want to party but not rest!
The view of the beach from the apartment is magnificent, we never get tired of it. The apartment is very nicely decorated, very well equipped and modern kitchen, nothing is missing, very large dressing room perfect for long stays.
The village of Orio is very charming.
Very close to San Sebastian for a visit to this beautiful city.
Easy access to the entire Spanish Basque coast, magnificent.
-Beautiful boutique hotel with exceptional and chic decor
-Located away from busy tourist attractions so we could enjoy the sounds of nature
-Air conditioning and sound proof rooms so that even though the hotel is located very close to the road you didn’t hear anything when the doors or windows were closed.
-Amazing and gorgeous breakfast with sweet and salty options to please everyone!
Great house/apartment well located. It is on a main road but location was good to walk to the village. All house fittings are new so it well equipped. Great location for visiting San Sebastián for the day as the prices were high to stay there. Lovely beach at Orio and sits right on the river. You can see the water from the bedroom windows which is nice. All round very good. 👍
We had an amazing time and felt very welcomed by everyone on set. The rooms are relatively big and are well decorated. We were traveling with our baby and they even placed some toys in our bedroom. We also liked the fact that its atmosphere differs from the common hotel, everything seems home, everything seems carefully thought to provide the best experience possible.
It was a small hotel in a beautiful setting. Beautifully decorated. Staff was very kind, pleasant and very accomodating. Definitely our favorite place to stay. I we could have stay longer, we would have stayed. Just love everything about this small family run hotel. Wonderful place to stay and very affordable. Well worth the stay. Will do it again.
It is a nice apartment in a newly constructed building, which looks like its over 100 years old. The location is great, close to cafes and restaurants, not far away from a beach (nice walking distance). Overall, we loved Orio and the apartment.
Very friendly host, very good breakfast and I really enjoyed the rural and quiet location which was still not far away from the town center. I also really enjoyed Orio - a small but very vibrant and lively town. Will definitely come back.
Excellent customer service from the manager and others, explained everything to us regarding amenities and things going on at the hotel all with a smile.
Beautiful location. Would definitely stay there again.
Orio is a small coastal village with scarce tourist facilities, the Hostal Xaloa is a welcome option for a overnight stay.
We really liked the proprietor lady, once we met her the following morning.
Spectacular views from a lovely peaceful room. Friendly owners and excellent breakfasts. The hotel is in a vibrant rural location surrounded by lovely walks. Hopefully we will return one day.
The place was tastefully decorated, clean and the bed was comfortable. A very short walk away from the center of the beautiful town of Orio and of the Camino path.
