The staff! So friendly and helpful. The food - delicious home cooked evening meal, and plentiful breakfast. Everything was spotless, it was quiet, easy to park, very comfortable.

Carmen was wonderful. She didn’t know English and we know limited Spanish but we managed beautifully. She did our laundry and we hung it out in her back garden. Garden was lovely to relax in.

The location was very central and easy to locate, Ana messaged me just before our expected arrival time with details and she was at the door to greet us. The house was extremely comfortable for the 4 of us and there was a welcome pack of toiletries for everyone. She also provided tea/coffee and snacks which were very welcome after our long walk on the Camino

It’s a one bedroom, comfy apartment; spacious, overlooks a small plaza. Has separate kitchen ( can prepare small meal if you are tire of eating out), living room, nice bathroom. On busy street; some trucks passing by at night but not bad.

I can't really say anything bad about the accommodation. The host was friendly, the hostel was clean and the beds were comfortable. However, for the price I had higher expectations, which unfortunately were not met, even with the pilgrim's menu.
Albergue San Pelayo is set in Puente Villarente and on the Santiago de Compostela Pilgrimage Route. It has a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and laundry room. This charming hostel is set in a pretty garden.
