Great place overall. Modern facilities from the building to the apartment. There is parking and it is located in the calmer part of the general area. Some of the apartments have better view (the more expensive ones). The room was modern and very functional.

I had an apartment a few miles out of Villajoiosa for 20 years and was there to complete the sale. I love the town, the beach and the surrounding countryside. It is a busy, working town with a fishing fleet, yacht marina and several industrial areas. Fun fact - some of the ships for the Spanish Armada that was sent to try and invade England were built at Villajoiosa's many shipbuilding yards. Also, It has three chocolate factories! I would advise against the factory tours though because of Health & Safety restrictions they are not so exciting. The chocolate is wonderful though and there is a Valor chocolate cafe in the town centre and a Marcos Tondas outlet shop in the industrial area just out of the centre. La Vila Joyosa, as the many Valenciano speakers call it, is a popular tourist spot, especially when Madrid takes August off! Out of season it is quiet and peaceful but not deserted like some resorts as the local population take their evening stroll along the promenade. Some restaurants close but many are open all year. There are significant ex-pat communities of British, French, Dutch and Norwegian and smaller numbers of German, Swiss and other nationalities so there is a cosmopolitan vibe. Beside the hotels in town there are several camping and caravan sites a short distance along the coast (an easy walk to town). I highly recommend this charming town for a peaceful and varied holiday. It Is not a town of disco bars and vibrant nightlife but if you want that Benidorm is a short drive or trainride away, as are the themeparks and waterpark.

Villajoyosa is a great place to stay.
Villajoyosa is a great place to stay. Much quieter than eg Benidorm and close to Alicante Airport. The local beach is nice and welcoming and walking alongside it is joyful. However the town itself doesn't offer much to do. I must emphasise the location of Villajoyosa is perfect as it's sandwiched between Alicante and Benidorm, which you can reach in 30 minutes by car. There are many great places to visit in the region such as Bocairent town, Algar springs, Old Town in Altea, and for those who like hiking Puig Campana mountain.

The correspondence with Marina was excellent, she replied to my questions very quickly and was very reassuring, sending some excellent pictures of the garage etc
I felt I could contact here anytime.
l loooved every aspect of our stay in Hotel Montiboli. Staff are amazing, super respectful and attentive. The level of service is wayyy above average in hotels. The pool was lovely. Easy access to a nude and normal beach. And oh my, the views! Everyone must visit this special gem once in their lifetime.
PS: If you’re vegan, let them know early and they’ll prepare something specifically for you.
We loved our stay in the Sailor House. The facilities were excellent, the place was lovely and clean and the beds were super comfy! The hosts were friendly and even turned up within 10 mins when we locked ourselves out of the apartment! The location excellent. I definitely will see if the Sailor House is available on my next trip to Villajoyosa.
Location was great, right beside the beach in the lovely old seaside apartments. Newly decorated. There was a hairdryer and loads of towels. Lovely shower. Air conditioning. Close to eateries. Windows quite soundproof. Good size tv with netflix access. Hob, oven, fridge, cooking and eating utensils
The whole hotel is super clean and beautifully decorated. Everything feels brand new. Staff were super smiley and helpful throughout our stay. Location couldn’t be better. Many incredible little Spanish restaurants a few steps away from the main entrance. Spa was a bonus too! It was a dream stay.
The location is fabulous, right across the street from a lovely beach. The hotel is very clean and the staff all very helpful and friendly. The bar was a nice place for a drink and playing games. The food was fine, but could be better for a hotel of this quality/price
Staying in a fisherman's casa was a great experience. Unit had everything needed to self cater. The view to the sea was a plus. Landlady providesd good information for walks. Easy to use the tram system to visit other seaside towns along the Costa Blanca.
Everything about this hotel was fabulous- roof top pool and views are stunning and just a short walk to the beach- literally minutes.
From the beach/ bar strip by the beach back to the hotel- there are travellators as up hill which were excellent.
The place is amazing. We stayed in the penthouse on the top floor which was great. Service was decent and the staff were very helpful. The area is super quiet and the hotel was silent — not sure if that is normal or that they weren’t that busy.
Villajoyosa is a very nice little friendly location
Long beach, long promenade, nice restaurants, shops, supermarkets
and very good cafeterias for chocolate lovers
We will definitely go back because everything was nice
Well equipped, clean and spacious apartment med fantastic sea views. The best location in Villajoyosa. Only 1 min walk to beachfront and 5 min walk to the old town. We had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend!
I absolutely loved this place! Comfy, clean, modern, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is just perfect. From the fifth floor the view of Villajoyosa is amazing!! I definitely enjoyed my stay.
Super comfortable, clean villa in a quiet neighborhood in a gated community. Close to the wide pebble and sandy beach. You have to go by car or bike to the center, restaurants and the main sandy beach of Villajoyosa.
The location is perfect: very close to the beach, restaurants. Mercadona is 15 minutes walk. The manager is very responsive, organizes a transfer, which is cheaper than taking a taxi at the airport.
