Albert is a very small town with limited lodging. The hotel has a very good restaurant with it. On Sunday evening it was the only place open we could find. Free parking was a plus.

This is a beautiful property surrounded by so much history and nice towns all around. The home is very large and private where it is reserved for a single guest or guests that are together and no more. We were blessed to meet the owners and learn more about their lives and family. Very warm and welcoming place to stay a night or longer. Everything was as described in the booking. We will definitely stay here again! Great for families!

Beaumont Hamel is at the centre of the Northern part of the Somme battlefield and an excellent centre for tours for those interested in Great War History. Like many contemporary rural French villages, it has no public facilities so a car is necessary. Albert (which has plenty of shops and several bars and restaurants), Bapaume and Peronne are, however, all a short drive.
