The historic town of Bergerac is a great place to visit.
The historic town of Bergerac is a great place to visit. Lots of interesting architecture and local culture to explore. There is quite a big street market held once or twice a week. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes. A very welcoming tourist destination.

The town is beautiful.
The town is beautiful. There are many shops, and beautiful architecture everywhere you look. There are some of the finest restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. The people everywhere are very friendly and everyone seems happy. It was like walking around in a painting. It was unforgettable.

Beautiful town with lots of interesting buildings.
Beautiful town with lots of interesting buildings. Nice bars and restaurants. We found opening times of restaurants and shops unpredictable. Enough to do for a few days. Nice river trip and prebooked taxi from airport was convenient.

So many things to see and do in the area.
So many things to see and do in the area. Bordeaux and Burgundy get lots of press for their wines. The surrounding vineyards of the Bergerac region are superb and accessible. They wine you sample ranges from good to out of this world; the stories you hear at each vineyard are full of the passion the people convey about their work and the results.
In addition, the cultural sites were fun with many to choose from. Our only concern is that we traveled in early October. Some sites change or close at that time. Their websites weren't up to date so we showed up to several only to find them closed for the season.

Beautiful small old town in SW France.
Beautiful small old town in SW France. No hustle and bustle of a large city which made for a very relaxing stay. Close to numerous wineries and other destinations for a day visit. There is ample parking very close to the town centre (400+ places, and free!). Park the car and walk! Highly recommend this picturesque town and neighbouring region for a short visit.
From the moment we arrived, this hidden gem in the centre of Bergerac exceeded all our expectations.
Our hosts could not have been more delightful and helpful, answering all our questions and giving advice on what Bergerac had to offer.
Our room was more than exceptional, a sheer delight - the bed and bed linen are of 5-star quality and our room had excellent facilities. The gardens and swimming pool were made for relaxing and our breakfast was quite frankly, the best breakfast ever!
Our only regret, we didn't book a longer stay.
Lovely bright and airy room in the loft space of a stunning property. Fantastic grounds and pool. The couple who run the property are friendly and happy to help in any way. The breakfasts and evening meal Laurent prepared for us were excellent and well worth the €28 per person to eat there at least one evening. The location is great, just a 10 minute drive from the center of Bergerac, I would recommend hiring a car if you're staying here, the property is surrounded by vineyards and close to a swimming lake.
very convenient right in the old town of Bergerac, Nespresso coffee machine, clean, nice decor, lots of quality glasses, plates etc, nice shower, large bathroom twin sinks. nice fluffy white towels, very well maintained. comfy king size bed in larger room. parking in secure garage.. The owner did try and help us over the phone with directions but language barrier. and she was happy for us to leave the car in the garage for extra couple of hours when we checked out.
Great location, immaculate rooms, lovely showers, good secure parking and relaxing swimming pool area. 5 minute walk to the old town, with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes. The bedrooms were well appointed with air conditioning, mirrored wardrobes, tea and coffee (no decaf), memory foam mattress and hairdryer. Bathroom was extremely clean and bright with a good, powerful shower. Staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke good English.
Hotel newly built. Location for walking around good BUT almost impossible to get there with the car to unload. The guest I traveled is handicaped. They gave her a room at the top - even so the lady showed them the hadicap ID. The stairs are so small - no elevator or help with suitcase. Breakfast - not good at all. The staff not there or not speaking any of the common languages - French, English etc. Cannot recommend this hotel
Our hosts were delightful and the accommodation superb. If you are looking for exceptional facilities in Bergerac that is close to the city centre but in a green environment this is the place for you. The house is situated near a large green park with lake a few minutes walk away. Parking is safe and secure and the pool area and garden lovely. It would suit couples, adult groups or families. We highly recommend the villa.
Clean, pleasant, modern family home. Bedroom with separate sitting area. Off street parking on side of drive. Made to feel slightly unwelcome on arrival about 16.00. as though too early, but does say check in from 15.00. on website. Very friendly chat at plain but perfectly adequate breakfast in kitchen with hosts. Lovely friendly dog. 7mins drive to Dordogne river and Bergerac old town.
Really good location in the centre of the old town. The apartment is ancient but comfortable though stairs may be a challenge for those with reduced mobility. Chris was exceptionally helpful, picking us up, showing us round the town and apartment and dropping us back to the airport. Breakfast couldn't have been fresher. Quirky spot for a long weekend!
I cannot fault the faciltites, the staff or the location. We were made so welcome, Francois and his family could not have done more to make our stay better. Our room was very spacious and well-equipped, breakfast was delicious with home-made yoghurts, and its location is a short walk from the centre of town. We would definitely love to return.
The host is friendly and helpful. I like the studio, you can cook yourself, walking distance to a supermarket. easy walking distance to town centre,(around 10mins) it's a small town anyway. parking space outside if you drive a car. quiet in the evening. suitable for sole traveler or couples
Excellent location, clean, the garage was a bonus, we had a good stay ideal for a couple of days exploring the lovely town of Bergerac. Once we were given the number for the local contact, it was very easy to access the apartment, the lady was very helpful and quick to reply.
The apartment was so well equipped In terms of kitchen appliances and utensils. Probably one of the best we have ever stayed at. We appreciated the coffee. The bathroom was marvelous and having a washing machine was most helpful. It was in an excellent location.
Near to free parking. Separate area in room for kids. Air-con welcome in hot weather. Good pressure in shower. Quiet considering part of a hotel-bar-brasserie. Easy 5 minute walk with kids into centre of Bergerac (one street). Friendly and helpful proprietor.
Quaint property in middle of old town. Everything very close to hand. Really relaxed but great hosts - a real find and much more cosy and intimate than one of the bigger bed and breakfast.
The property was in a perfect location for the old town and lots of restaurants and bars. A lovely feel to the area. Ludo the owner was quick to respond when messaged.
