The staff were terrific, helping us with our bags and explaining everything. We had a superior large room with a terrace view. The room was very large and the view fantastic. Extremely comfortable. Whilst there is no elevator there is only ground and first floor. We had arranged a garage so had somewhere to lock up the car but they also offer free off street parking (booking.com didn’t give us this option). We also had breakfast and it was plentiful. From our assessment this is at the quieter end of the beach, which is good. Only about 10 minutes away from the Hubub.

A beautiful hill village ideal for walkers - very quiet, we didn't see any shops in the village though so car required. Very convenient for the motorway France/Spain.
Not many places to eat when we were there in late April. We ate in our hotel - Les Jardins de Bakea which was FANTASTIC! Just superb.

We were driving through France to Spain & we’d had a long day’s driving. So when we finally arrived at the hotel it was lovely to find such an oasis of calm elegance. Our room was lovely, understated French chic and the en-suite which had a large shower, rather than bath was well equipped - even the hairdryer was better than my own! Shame there wasn’t a kettle. I can’t stress how professional the staff were. I heard our hostess speaking French, English & Spanish fluently. The restaurant was 5 star. Not cheap, but faultless. Thought the breakfast at €13 was a little expensive but actually it was worth it. 9.5/10
Our stay was wonderful and far exceeded our expectations.
The hotel is family owned and run, in a small village 5 minutes into the hills off the motorway. The building is beautiful and the views from every room are spectacular - the valley views are the pick as they overlook the marvellous sun terrace and gardens. There are nice walks into the mountains out of the door. Dogs are welcome (plus 7Euros).
The restaurant is a tremendous attraction and offers a gourmet dining experience but is not silly money. The wine list is extraordinary.
Totally recommend this hotel in beautiful grounds. The food was exceptional, the room had a beautiful view and was spotless. Lots of luxury touches everywhere, linen, crockery etc. Our dog was treated like a princess, food prepared in the kitchen and served in the restaurant with us. Would definitely return.
Really well situated off the main routes in Spain. We travelled from Cadiz to here in a day and the hotel was a very welcome oasis come rooms, welcoming staff super restaurant and wine list that I have seldom seen except in 1/2 star restaurants. Hope when we travel again that we stay again.
The room was very comfortable, the setting and garden lovely, and the staff, superb. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine in a refined but warm environment. The hotel is a quick drive to the towns on the coast but in the summer must provide a welcome retreat from the crowds and commerce.
The staff at the hotel were exemplary. Very welcoming and attentive. The room was large and comfortable and very suitable for a wheelchair user. The meals in the dining room were first class and the location excellent.
Excellent hotel with first class restaurant. A tranquil setting with lovely views over the valley. First visit but certainly not the last. Well located for visiting the San Sebastien and Biarritz areas.
We were travelling back from Spain to the UK, so the hotel was in a great location for a stopover where you did not have to divert much from the main route.
Great location, brilliant staff and quality restaurant. Only 1.75 hours to the Bilbao-Rosslare Ferry which was perfect for us. A truly pet friendly hotel.
