Everything was perfect! The location for the village, great parking, the balcony with view where I sat daydreaming of owning a home there, the breakfast with every whim met, the hosts Edell and John who were the nicest people. Highly recommend this place - in fact it is the best I’ve stayed in since arriving and traveling around France 3 weeks ago - wish I had stayed longer as my next place is no where near the caliber of Edell’s.

Everything was completely clean and fresh, and the proprietor welcomed us with with a refrigerator full of milk and juice, yogurt, jam etc. Everything you could need for a breakfast but there was more! A trip to the Boulangerie which helped us meet people and we had delicious croissant. France is alive and well! The bath is top notch and large, the bed comfortable, the linens fresh. Just a delightful place. The street is quiet and the town is very beautiful.. Monpazier is well worth a trip and Au Bonheur des Ruelles makes a Monpazier trip even more delightful. We would stay again in a minute at this Chambre d’Hôte.

Paul and Reinaud were the most welcoming and charming of hosts to their newly completed gites. We really enjoyed our stay in the comfortable converted pigeonnier, one of three new suites which overlooks the pool and the delightful rewilded landscape and peaceful farmland beyond in this serenely quiet and peaceful area.

Nice little village on a hill around a big castle. The village itself doesn't offer much except for a handfull very nice historic buildings, but it would be worth visiting the castle but we spent only a night in Biron. During Summer, there are concerts on the castle (classic). Biron has only one restaurant but there is a very nice town, Monpazier, about 7km away with several very nice restaurants (make sure that you reserve your table during high season). Biron would also be a good base for visiting neighbouring villages and towns of the Dordogne region, however, you need a car or motorcicle.
