Just Minutes from the Magic
Bussy-Saint-Georges has the key benefit of being on the RER train line between the French capital and Disneyland Paris, Europe’s most popular theme park. The town is one of the more recent additions to the landscape east of Paris and its name is thought to refer to the woodland that once covered the land. It is still relatively green today and is surrounded by countryside and small parks and lakes.
Most of the Bussy-Saint-Georges accommodation lies between the Marne River and the A4 motorway which connects to the Paris ring road. Being just that little bit further away from the delights of Disney, the hotels with pools, traditional B&Bs and apartments are on the whole cheaper than those nearer the parks.
The Bussy Saint-Georges golf course provides a peaceful spot to work on your swing, and sitting at the centre of neighbouring Guermantes Park is a private castle. Sea Life Paris is a popular aquarium within a complex housing the huge Val d’Europe shopping centre, both easily accessed by car and RER.
