What a fantastic place. We diverted our cycle tour up the Orb valley to stop here and it was a great decision. A beautiful renovation with spacious, comfortable, and well designed room. Two bright windows, two nice chairs, a kettle, and nice view of the garden and church. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the conversation lively (even with my basic French) Easy bike storage too. Thanks Brigitte and Cyril!

Maison du Parc, hotel in Cessenon

Quite a cool old house. Very central to centre of town - walking distance to a few restaurants. Bike friendly - able to leave them in the lovely courtyard (which we could not use due to bad weather - but it was really nice!). Michel is very nice and wishing to make your experience fantastic. Breakfast was totally fine - he even made hot chocolate. He also offered to provide at any time - we are talking 6am here for an early morning bike start. That's really nice!!! Room is really quite big and so is the bathroom. Shower was good. Very quiet at night.

Chateau de Murviel, hotel in Cessenon

Located in the medieval village of Murviel-les-Béziers, Château de Murviel is a family-run B&B offering modern accommodations in a medieval castle dating back to the Renaissance period.

We loved it and our kids loved it as well! From the moment we arrived at Chateau Murviel, it was clear we had stumbled upon a gem that beautifully marries history with modern comfort. Nestled atop a hill, the chateau offers breathtaking views that promise to enchant every visitor. The location alone is worth the stay, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life while inviting exploration and appreciation of the surrounding beauty. We had amazing breakfast and conversation with hosts about their and ours travels. Amazing family. Highly recommend. Please be careful when driving - don't get stuck on GPS route - there's a better route with arrows - still narrow, but easier. What truly sets Chateau Murviel apart, however, is the condition of its facilities. It's apparent that great care is taken to maintain the property's integrity, ensuring everything is in excellent working order without detracting from its historic allure. From the well-kept gardens that invite leisurely strolls to the pristine rooms that offer a haven of rest, the attention to detail is commendable. Our stay at Chateau Murviel was nothing short of magical. It provided a unique blend of historical richness and modern luxury, making it a perfect retreat for those looking to immerse themselves in the beauty and history of the region. Whether you're a history buff, a lover of nature, or simply in search of a peaceful getaway, this chateau promises an unforgettable experience. We left with our hearts full and our spirits lifted, already dreaming of our next visit.

Very nice swim in river and a good restaurant (Le Helder) . We enjoyed a 2.5 day visit., a longer stay would have begun being repetative. Wanted to try the canoing but needed a car to get to the venue. It was too hot to go for long walks.

Lovely and characterful town in the Orb river which is lovely for swimming and also Canoeing, which is simply catered for at several points along its course. It’s a compact little town with a couple of cafes and restaurants, a pharmacy, and a big old church on the square. Parts of it have a medieval feel and are very old, and all of it is beautiful.
