The room was fine, nothing special but clean and satisfactory. Reception was friendly and efficient. The bathroom is poky, not ventilated and unattractive. Toilet is in a small separate room. Parking was readily available. The restaurant was less appealing. I did not stop for breakfast, influenced by the previous night's dinner experience.

We mainly dealt with a deputy reception manager who tried to make us comfortbale given our disappointment by upgrading our room. He agreed with our concerns and tried to make amends, which was appreciated. He gave us information on local restaurants which was helpful. The view from the hotel is great and the location to Cognac is convenient with a car.
