It was quite easy to find - there is a sign on the street. The last house away from D17. We had booked their biggest room - and everything was perfect. Had a nice talk with our host - a very quite place away from traffic

L’Arche des Chapeliers is a charming old house in the centre of Foix. I like those narow street and its old genuin architecture and cityplans. It is very nice to stroll around. A visit to the castle is a must and it is just a short walk away.
Sonia, the owner, is very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good and a nice dinner in the city made Foix to a pleasant stopover.

In the center of the city of Foix there is a famous medieval castle, which is currently being renovated. Next to it there is a nice museum. Surrounding ancient part of the city is very pleasant. There are a lot of small shops and places to eat. There is a trail up to a nearby plateau with an excellent view of the castle and the city of Foix and of surrounding area. There are a lot of interesting places around Foix: the Devil's bridge, a forge with a museum, an underground river, and several castles.

A charming city with many interesting old buildings some of which have been renovated and some of which need renovation.
It is well-provided with restaurants; we had good food in Le Vertigo and the Bar Auberge Miranda.
It was unfortunate that the Chateau was closed due to the installation of an elevator - it should be open for summer 2024.

I was charged twice for the room. Once through Booking and then by the Hotel; I don’t speak French and the manager didn’t or didn’t want to speak English. So I paid twice
Later on American Express resolved the issue; I had paid twice.
I would NOT recommend this hotel

Foix is closed on Mondays, so do not plan to visit the castle on Monday. There is was little to see or do in the town. Restaurants close very early and are not open on Mondays. The Visitors' Center offered a suggested visit to Forges. It filled some time. We were also caught in Foix when a General Strike was called. The town has very little to offer tourists besides the castle. A better castle to visit is located in Carcassone, just a short drive away.

It's a lovely little town and hasn't been overrun by tourists, so local people are friendly, prices (for restaurants and such) favourable, and one can run into some old crafts (I, for instance, bought a handmade comb from cow horn, a lovely thing, from an old guy who makes them). That was on the market (not to be missed, it's by the river). The castle is great but the town itself is definitely also worth some exploration.
Location is just beautiful, we stayed in a beautiful mini apartment with lake view !! The apartment is modern and absolutely beautiful ! So nice for once to have a real coffee machine with great coffee!! very much appreciated! Dinner was delicious ( we had confit duck and lamb )
Great breakfast selection , local jams , juices , hams and again real coffee !! This hotel was actually recommended to us by our daughter who stayed here during a work trip !! Highly Recommend !! will not be disappointed !!
The apartments were superbly equipped and the beds comfortable, The first thing we all said was WOW! We had apartment 5 on the 4th floor and apartment 8 which was on the 5th floor and had its own small balcony and wonderful glass roof!
The accommodation has a good seating area and is very modern. Well thought out facilties. Excellent garage and provision for clothes washing. Spectacular views of the Chateau and lovely roof garden.
Suitable for day or weekly stopovers.
Approx 300m to Foix town.
Silvia the hostess was very friendly and responsive to my queries about access to the apartment and about the availability of free nearby parking facilities. She rapidly organised the repair of a plumbing problem.
The location is ideal for access to central Foix and very near to the Place Saint-Volusien for baggage drop-off and collection.
The new apartment in an old building is clean and bright, well decorated and provided with all-new domestic appliances.
An excellent 2-star hotel, but in my opinion it deserves more. The room is big enough with everything needed in it on the ground floor so it was very convenient with the luggage to go straight into the room. A very good shower, the room had facilities for making coffee and tea, a TV, a very rich and varied breakfast. Parking adjacent to the room free of charge The location of the hotel is very close to the river and ducks swim in it. Lovely!
The studio was perfect for my 1-night stay in Foix. It's very small, but still has everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen, and a small table to have breakfast at. Everything was renovated and well maintained, and it was super clean. The breakfast in the fridge was a nice touch. I had no problems finding parking on the main street and was able to walk in to the center of Foix in less than 15 minutes. Great value for money!
Wow what a spectacular and special place,! So charming and the views from the place were amazing - we spent the first 5 or 10 minutes snapping photos from the room! It's right in the medieval part of Foix, close to everything. The proprietor was very kind and patient, especially helping us park in the garage (not easy!) I really loved the place - a real treat!
Jackie was lovely. She made us a good breakfast every day and spent time chatting with us (which made me work on my French!). She is an artist, so the studio was beautifully decorated with art. Pretty little enclosed garden. Location is right in the center of Medieval Foix, which meant we could walk everywhere. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops.
Very stylish loft newly converted with high spec bathroom and kitchenette. Views of the Chateau de Foix across the town from small balcony or the moving ceiling in the bedroom that allows you to 'sleep under the stars'. Rooftop garden and Jacuzzi also available. Comfortable double bed and sofa-bed also good quality. Only minutes from the centre.
Quiet, comfortable, air conditioned room overlooking a lake. Just a few moments drive to the center of Foix.
The restaurant was wonderful, one of the best meals I’ve had in France! And that wine list? Truly amazing.
The service was top notch, receptionist/server was so friendly. We would definitely stay again.
The apartment was very comfortable and in a great location in the centre of Foix. The garage made it very convenient for us to get around. Just a note to anyone with mobility issues. The garage is on the ground level. The apartment is on two levels above that. It worked well for us because it was very secure.
The location is very quiet, while being close to many good restaurants, shops and the castle. Foix is an interesting town, well-positioned to explore the surrounding area.
Jackie is a kind helpful host who provides a good breakfast every day.
The facilities all worked well.
We have stayed at this hotel 25 years and always enjoyed the calm location and the friendly reception.
It has been improved by air-conditioning and generally smartened by the new owners.
The location was awesome, probably in the most centric street of the town, close to everything and it felt like living in the real Foix. The apartment was well appointed.
