Quiet town, damaged by recent flooding, friendly people, lovely hiking. The place is not highly developed for tourism, which is what I liked. A little bakery with excellent local specialties, a small grocery store also featuring local cheeses, a single restaurant with few customers, a pizzeria. A lot of local character and authenticity. Hiked to Saorge and Bergh Inférieure, both very interesting and beautiful. Saorge has more restaurants and shops and expats but is still much quieter and more authentic than similar towns in more accessible regions which are 100% tourist traps; Saorge still has some inhabitants. Small town untouched by tourism.
Small town untouched by tourism. Wonderful views from the hotel. There's only 1 restaurant as far as we could tell. We stood out as non-locals, which happens so rarely. I loved the isolation of this town.JulieUnited States of America
