There was no breakfast and no dinner either as the restaurant was closed. But a lady called Adeline kindly came to let me in and showed me to my room. I particularly enjoyed hearing the cocks crow in the morning. But they wrote to tell me the restaurant was closed but too late to change my booking. No other restaurants open for miles.
I liked being able to open the window and the hit water in the shower.

lovely cottage in a small village off the beaten track but clearly with WW1 history as the gates of a large estate were next to it but no property in sight. Perrine awaited our arrival, showed us around. The local supermarket was well stocked so we could self cater. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Garden looked great but didn’t use it.

We have stayed here a number of times....it is in a lovely, peaceful spot on a farm in a hamlet, but only a short drive from the A1 so ideal for an overnight stay, but also for a longer stay with access to the Somme and the Picardy countryside.
The apartments are comfortable and well-equipped; ours had a little terrace and loungers had been put ready for us. The terrace is straight onto a lovely garden...ideal to look out on and walk around after a long drive.
We are always made very welcome....always with a little treat ready for our arrival. This time some superb cold apple juice ready in the fridge...great after a long hot drive.
Featuring inner courtyard views, Gîte La Maison d'Edouard provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 40 km from Saint-Quentin Train Station.

The house is tastefully decorated and well-equipped. The bedrooms are especially nice - bright and airy with comfortable beds and quality bedlinen. We stayed for only one night as a stop-over and coming from the city we loved the peaceful setting overlooking the fields and with plenty of space for our 2 boys to run around outside. They also loved the table football in the basement (where some outdoor games are also stored) and the horses and donkey grazing in the neighbouring field. The owners gave a discreet and warm welcome and we would certainly stay here again.
