It was an authentic hotel where you immediately feel at home. Also nice that you could dine and eat local dishes. The bedrooms were renovated and very clean, practical and cozy. The room was cleaned very well every day and we got new towels.

Not really fair to give this hotel a review. The power was out when we arrived. That said, we were so grateful that the restaurant related to the hotel offered us a limited, but still tasty, dinner menu. Otherwise, we would have be on a fast.

Very quiet place. Very difficult to reach the beautiful other beautiful places in Corsica. The proximity to the beach is not very nice and the surroundings are clean. It is a much more beautiful place in Corsica.

Galeria was great!
Galeria was great! Less busy than over parts of the island with trips to scandola nature reserves right out of galeria. Parking was simple throughout the village. The nearest gas is 12 km away though and it is somewhat isolated.

If you are looking for a quiet time in a mountainous area...
If you are looking for a quiet time in a mountainous area then you will find ideal place to visit. The area around Porto (Scandola Nature Reserve)is a must with rock changing colours, and all in the rock pools blue. The local people are very friendly and warm hearted. On a costal run we met about a group of about 50 French Foreign Legionairs fully arm on a route march.
You will need your own transport in this area.. Local eating establishment can be found every 30/40 miles in the most isolated areas.
The restaurant had some very good foods. The breakfast was certainly OK but a bit more variety during our 5 days stay would have been appreciated. Hotel is located very close to the beach, the pool is not very big but very nice to have a refreshing "jump in the water". From Hotel Alivu you can visit by boat the natural reserve Scandola, the Fango Valley, make some superb hiking tours and the coastal way to Calvi is impressive but takes some time :)
Room is fine, being at a ground floor, it was a bit humid. Bathroom is old but spacious, although it has no windows (except one which "see" into a storage space. The room has a table outside to have a little breakfast. Position is good in Galeria. The owner quicky answered to all of our questions.
The pool was very nice, especially when our car broke down and we couldn't move around. The view of the mountains all around was magnificent. The landlady and the stuff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a remote location, but there are nice restaurants 1.5 - 4.0 km away.
the house is prominently located in the middle of the bay and part of the small village Galéria. the terras and view were excellent. the house is big, large rooms, plenty of space for 6 persons. Around the house there is lots of space giving you lots of privacy.
Very nice house and property, clean, comfortable, quiet, well-equipped, and excellent host. Outdoor decks with plenty of furniture for relaxing. Territorial views, including the sea. Short walk to town. Good location to explore the region. Highly recommended!

Peaceful accommodation facing the sea.
You can even perfectly sleep with the window open and thanks to the fact that it has windows to the sea and the mountains (opposite), a great night breeze circulates
