I have to say everything went well..Recently renovated, really tastefully done, good quality bed and bedsheets, quiet, clean. The breakfast was fantastic as the host really care about the quality and health of their food...home made jams and I have never had such good yoghurt. The hosts were great informative, interested in your travels but not overbearing or intrusive. I had spoken French for 15 days it was nice to speak English again. The value for your money and I mean this is the best I've seen in my 50 years of travelling.

We booked this hotel at a very competitive price late in the day with little expectations. First impressions were that it would be of poor quality as all the communal areas were dark and in need of some refreshing. But we were pleasantly surprised with the clean room with a recently modernised bathroom. A garage was offered for my Motorbike, which again was most welcome as it was an urban area. Wine was reasonably priced and there was a secluded terrace where it could be drunk pre dinner.
The dinner which was offered at 15 euros (total price) again surprised us greatly, having not great expectations at that price. Four courses with 4-5 multiple choices for each course of good wholesome well cooked food. A marvellous experience! And a sign that this was not a rarity, the dinning room was full of locals too. Well done hotel Bertrand for exceeding expectations.
