Excellent location for a single night. Just 2 blocks from train station. We had a room with 2 twin beds. Wasn't anything fancy but it was clean and had a window that opened for lots of fresh air.

This is by far one of the favourite places my wife and I have ever stayed!!! Came to this area of France because of a wedding and discovered this little gem of a place! As with anything, it starts with 'people'. Caroline was there everyday, working long hours, and so so attentive that we felt like we were staying with a friend. She really is that sweet and that nice. We didn't bring the right adapter for the curling iron or hair dryer and Caroline said "no problem!" and quickly got one of each from the owners. The pool is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet and the views of the valley at breakfast are spectacular. Went to a number of other hotels in the area, actually, to meet up with friends attending the wedding....by far this was THE nicest place to stay in area of Nevers.

This is an amazing place: An ancient, beautifully preserved castle/hunting lodge (one climbs up a spiral stone staircase to access the rooms!) with elegant modernization in the bathrooms, a pool, a zip line, and a beautiful park-like setting. The outdoor dinner was delicious and the breakfast spread ample. The staff went out of their way with friendly recommendations. (We were so pleased we visited the medieval town nearby.) It is an out-of-the-way place, but an out-of-this world experience!
