I think the restaurant ( the food) makes the best of this experience. I loved the dinner and the breakfast was very good too. The rooms are basic ( for the price it is worth) but charming and I will say it again: eat there!

Very close to the city centre of Cluny, in an old building full of charm, the family-run Hostellerie is a very pleasant place to stop. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and clean. The real surprise was the restaurant where we had a fine dinner, and the next day's breakfast was full of excellent choices.

It is a stunning hotel, charming features and decoration. The owners have put a lot of thought into its decoration. We had dinner in the lovely dining room with its open fire. The main course and the wine was delicious.

The hotel was right in the center of town. We enjoyed being able to walk in any direction and easily find food, shopping, and the abbey complex. The staff were very responsive and helped make sure that our arrival, later in the evening, was very easy.
