We loved our stay at the Chateau du Pin, from the moment we drove through the gate until our departure. Our host welcomed us and gave us a tour, with some explanations about the history of the castle. We stayed in the George Sand suite. The main bedroom is warm and welcoming, overlooking the park and the century old trees. The second bedroom was perfect for our daughter. The breakfast was fantastic, both for choice and quality. We loved the fresh crepes that made their way to our table every morning. It was also very convenient to charge our electric car at the castle.
We picked the Chateau du Pin for its location near Broceliande. It was a short ride to the forest, on beautiful country roads. We will be back, no doubt, and next time we'll make sure to spend more time enjoying the castle and the park.

We are a couple of mature cyclists. We ebiked a route through Brittany and Vendee avoiding large towns , staying in a variety of hotels and b&bs. We stayed at the Petite Halte on both our outward and home bound ride. It is in a good location, a days ride from the ferry port at St. Malo.. The building is a private house but has all the facilities tired cyclists need. The hostess is hard working and keen to keep her clients happy. The breakfasts were both good and the hostess provided us with a lovely evening meal on our return journey.
