Pertuis is an unglamorous, normal, quite large village...
Pertuis is an unglamorous, normal, quite large village located not far from interstate A51, the vertical highway that divides the eastern and western halves of inland Provence. From Pertuis, it was easy to get to both our westernmost destinations (i.e., Avignon) and our easternmost destinations (i.e., the Gorges du Verdon), as well as to Aix-en-Provence to the south, yet the village was completely non-touristy. I would definitely stay there again.

We had the superior double rooms which were very pleasant and opened out onto the delightful garden. Although the outdoor swimming pool looked inviting, we had terrible weather so we used only the indoor one but that was very relaxing. Across the garden was an Italian restaurant, good food but you need to book.
