The couple hosting were amazing, they were very friendly and we learnt all about the local area and town. The location is fantastic in the centre of Playpen and close to cycle routes and the canal. At the accommodation there is a cycle shed to store bikes safely in. The house is beautiful. Breakfast was amazing with a great selection of local produce including homemade jams and tea.

Place closed. Abandoned. Nobody there. Booked and paid for 14 April but arrived there yesterday at 6pm to find no sign of life. Unable to contact owners. Telephone cut off. No reply to email. Waited in vain for over 1 hour then desperately left to look for another place to stay. Despite all my efforts unable to reach anybody at Booking.com. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Will now wait for refund and compensation.

Just about everything! The facilities were excellent; M Gex's property is very traditional and beautiful, with a huge garden and plenty of room to walk around. Upstairs was light and airy with several skylights. The area is peaceful and there are lots of places of interest nearby and further afield on the Crozon and Raz peninsulas. A lovely part of France, and M Gex has obviously dedicated years of work to restoring a huge property; work is still ongoing. Wildlife bonus - a pair of barn owls are present and had 2 young on view most nights on our roof or the adjoining roof! A real privilege to see them so close up.
