It's really pleasant to live in the city.
It's really pleasant to live in the city. Rennes is not like Paris but there is everything you need to live and enjoy yourself. The center of the city is full of fun with beautiful old buildings and churches. You can also find modern facilities for your convenience. I loved the beautiful city of Rennes.

Only stayed 1 day - could perhaps have added a day. Rennes is very car un-friendly! Lots of cycle lanes, some quite narrow streets; lots of one-way streets that lead nowhere 9so you enter the one=way system and after a couple of minutes you end up back where you started - and there are no optional turns out of this system!
That said, once parked and on foot, very pleasant indeed.. We also had very nice weather - late-mid September.
Good restaurants - we ate at a creperie for lunch which was good and at an unpreposing restaurant for dinner which was very good,

The city had beautiful screet scape, shops and cafes and an amazing park all within walking distance. The local were friendly and prices generally in eating venues was reasonable. Rennes having a metro is an excellent asset allowing a lot of walking knowing you can double back by train if you plan your exploration direction to suit the metro stops. The staff at the metro station offered very helpful assistance without prompting helping to understand the ticketing system and ticket purchase process.

The old town is lovely, but for the oldies a bit tricky with the cobbles. The restaurants seem to be all in the centre - other eateries are pancakes, pizzas, and burgers - not exciting. It is a city for walkers - I am 94 and walking only short distances. My partner is a walker, so no problem. The people are extremely friendly, and it is a young city.
The hotel was located just nearby the Gare de Rennes. Less than 5mins walk. Hotel staff were all friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing as there were a lot of options to eat. The hotel also has an elevator, so we don't have to carry our bags up the stairs. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. We were in Rennes for 3 nights and the time we spent here was amazing cuz we had a good night sleep cuz of the comfortable beds. Definitely will stay here again if given the chance.
The location is fantastic, right in the city center of Rennes allowing you to start exploring right in front of the door. Around the hotel there are also plenty of great restaurants, bars and coffee places. The apartement is quite large, very modern, clean and well equiped. It offered everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the blinds blocked out the light and it was very quiet for such a central location. We would definitely stay here again.
I was very happy with my room! The room is very clean, and with a very big bathroom as well! And the staff was very helpful and answer my questions firendly!
The hotel's location is also very good, it's only 1-2 minutets walking time from the train station. To city center is around 10-15 minutes by foot, which I find also very nice!
If you want to stay in Rennes, don't miss out.
A lovely boutique style hotel in central Rennes. The interior design is lovely. We had the Henriette apartment which is just a street away from the main hotel. The apartment is beautifully decorated. Big bathroom, great shower, lovely details.
The bed could be more comfortable (the sofa bed too). The stairs up to the apartment are narrow and could be cleaner.
But great address!
Everything was great about the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They helped me in early check-in and were readily available if i had any problem. The location, cleanliness, and ambience of the room was great. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and the location of the hotel is perfect, close to bus, metro, and main train station of Rennes.
This apartment is a lovely hangout; indeed, if you told me I'd have to live there for the rest of my life, I wouldn't object. Very clean and comfortable -- this apartment option is by far the way to go in France, compared to the overpriced two-star hotels. Wi-fi connection was excellent, and the location is super for explorations of Rennes. A top-notch option.
The size of the room was very good and it was clean. We stayed on the 4th floor. The view was facing a wide street and was quite airy. The hotel was extremely close to the city center and the train station (Rennes is a very small city anyway). As soon as you leave the hotel, you are on a very wide and spacious street, a safe environment.
It had the perfect location: linked to the Gare Sud in Rennes. Fantastic if you just stay for a couple of days, as you get connections to Paris or Mont Saint Michel or everything you need. Also, walking distance to the center of Rennes. The room is large, the breakfast has a very good selections of food and beverages.
The hotel is very central and yet quiet, a short walk from the centre of town. We had a projector in the room that was truly amazing, like being back in a cinema! There is a parking but it's public, only a few hundred meters from the hotel. It was a pleasant break from staying in the usual chain hotels.
This is a perfect location for a short trip in Rennes. It's right next to the church and in the center of the historical town center, the building is definitely over 100 years old and has some nice character. The room decorations are very modern and chic:)
Definitely worth the price!
The hotel is beautiful, located on the edge of the old town center (5-10 min walk to the very center) and conveniently close to the railway station. And the restaurant - very tastily decorated and the food was superb. All highly recommended.
Small but sympathetic hotel less than 1 km from Rennes railway station. Facilities are simple but adequate, and staff helpful. Despite the somewhat frugal infrastructure, the place has a lively and pleasant atmosphere.
Spacious rooms. Good price-quality ratio for a hotel situated at a 20-30 minute walk distance of the center of Rennes. Underground parking spots available for 6€ a day. Decent breakfast for 8€ per person.
Very friendly and helpful reception. The room and bathroom were very clean during the 4 days of our stay. The hotel was perfectly located close to the train station and not far from the city center.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location is perfect: right in the center of rennes 1 minute away from the train station. The staff was really welcoming and nice.
Big room for France standards. Good breakfast. Cold Air Conditioning. Had a problem with someone smoking in an adjacent room and they kicked them out. Well done!
The Union of rooms 201 and 202.for the 4 of us built my best hotel experience ever with my two little ones..it's hard to express how simply good it was.
