The hotel is beautiful, with a wonderful swimming pool and terrace. The rooms are clean, comfy and fresh. The breakfast was also delicious. But the highlight of our stay was our host, who was lovely and so helpful. She gave us great advices on what to do in the area, was always available and helped us with all our needs. The views are stunning! The staff is so friendly. At first site it looks a little neglected, but the rooms are beautiful! New luxury vinyl floors and a beautiful bathroom. It has a rich history and a host of celebrities including Winston Churchill. The food was very good and homey So enjoyed the conversation with the son of the owner

The host and apartment were both excellent. Good location for getting to the lavender fields near Valensole and Verdon Gorge region. It is about a 12-15 minute walk to the center of town. A large grocery store is about a 6 minute drive. The rooms are shaded which kept the apartment comfortable in the summer. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, and having 2 bathrooms was a plus. Marc was very accommodating and helpful. He provided a local map and suggested things to do. We would definitely recommend Vacances Castellane.
