The restaurant could have been less complicated and still provided top quality food. The room was in the eaves which is inconvenient for tall people. An oasis of calm and tranquility in the verdant french countryside. Amazing food and wine. Great rooms along with really good facilities, nice swimming pool, gardens etc. Highly recommended as a stopover on the long journey south through France. The Tarbot is the best I ever had and I especially booked this hotel again to be able to revisit this signature dish. The friendlyness of the restaurant staff, especially the young waiter who prepared our crêpes Suzette ;-) Whenever I have a need to stay in the neighbourhood, I will select Le Domaine de Barive !

Everywhere was exceptionally clean and beautiful. We didn’t have time to try out the Spa, but we assumed it would have been to the same standard. The Hotel was very quiet and gives an air of relaxation. The bed was extremely comfortable as was the room.
