This is a naturally rich and beautiful part of France.
This is a naturally rich and beautiful part of France. No end of off-road walks through wooded valleys, around lakes, along deserted old paths and disused rail tracks. Be vigilant during hunting season, it’s prudent to take an orange hi-viz vest for yourself and for the dog PLUS a bell on your dog’s collar - this is serious chasse country and they are very active in the season.
Worth taking your own refreshments as cafes etc are few and far between and if you do find one they have the oddest (to an English person) opening times!
Beautiful area for those who love a quiet walk through nature.
