Nice space to stay for a night or two. John the owner is absolutely great and more helpful than you can imagine. We were arriving late and we hadn’t eaten. John told us where we could get something and he even had a pizza ready for us if we hadn’t been able to find something. He gave us directions on the phone when we were lost and stayed up late to welcome us. The place was very clean, warm and comfortable.

What wonderful hosts Eveline and Emiel are at Villa Verte, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, it really did feel like it was home from home. Our bedroom was spacious, tastefully decorated and spotless. There is the option to join Evelyn and Emiel for dinner in the evenings, Eveline cooks deliciously fresh and tasty food or they will make you a cheese and meat platter if you prefer to eat in your room after a day exploring the region. Each day Eveline put little treats in our room, these included homemade lemon mousse, biscuits, meringue and chocolates. At the start of our holiday I was struggling with a cold and Eveline put a fluffy hot water bottle in our bedroom and offered me hot chocolate at bedtime. The grounds are a peaceful haven and include a hot tub and pool for the warm summer days. The b&b is 40 minutes from Limoges airport by car and is nestled in beautiful countryside making it a perfect base to explore the department of Haute Vienne in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region of central west France.
