The Black Swan Inn, hotel in Allerston

Located 3.1 mi from Flamingo Land Theme Park in Pickering, The Black Swan Inn features a restaurant and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site.

We loved the Black Swan! The service was outstanding. I travelled every week for work before covid and I have seldom had better service anywhere in the world I've been. Definitely the best service I've had in any hotel in the UK. I have mobility issues and while the Swan has no lift the staff couldn't do enough to help with bags etc., Good free parking behind the pub with plenty of parking spots. Breakfast was very good, best I've had in a while. The only drawback was dinner was not as good as the breakfast. Bar staff are very friendly. Lots of locals come in so you know it's good. The location is perfect with a short walk to any shops and to Pickering station (NYMR). We plan on coming back later in the year.

The Old Manse Pickering, hotel in Allerston

Located in Pickering, The Old Manse Pickering offers hotel accommodations in the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

The location and parking were excellent - the NYMR Pickering Station is just 5 minutes walk away. The breakfast was served in the conservatory and was virtuously faithful to the positive reviews (enormous tea pots a hit). The rooms were spacious and clean - they'd actually been redecorated just weeks before our stay. Staff all friendly and knowledgeable. An experience at a good price. It's just how a small hotel should be run.

Luxury Cottage Nestled in the Heart of Pickering - Pet Friendly, hotel in Allerston

Luxury Cottage Nestled in the Heart of Pickering - Pet Friendly is located in Pickering, just 6.3 miles from Dalby Forest and 18 miles from Peasholm Park.

The house was ideally located for us as we spent the weekend visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which was within walking distance. The house was spotless, homely and welcoming. It was particularly nice to find a small selection of goodies in the kitchen on our arrival. The hosts had left a welcome folder with lots of clear and concise instructions about the property and local recommendations for sight seeing and eating.

The property was very clean, very quiet.

The property was very clean, very quiet. Very safe parking close to accommodation. Host was very helpful. Car is necessary, as not really in walking distance to local facilities. Host left little treats for us. We stayed there, so that we could be close to Thornton le Dale, which is very close by car. Accommodation is very close to the North Yorkshire Moors.

The location was a perfect base for visiting the seaside towns other attractions in Yorkshire. There were just 4 cottages, which made it quiet and friendly. The accommodation had everything we needed and the hosts were on site and went out of their way to check we were comfortable.
