Julie did her utmost to make things right and I’d give her 10 out of 10. However, no chef means no evening meals and no cooked breakfast. But things happen when you travel that are outside your control and the hotels. We had a good nights sleep and things worked out fine.

Breakfast was brilliant, views are superb, stylish hotel with 3 of the finest peacocks you will ever meet. The staff are a delight too. DO do the Sunday tasting menu - it's worth it.

From start to finish, the Fountain hotel just kept giving. The breakfast choice was fantastic, as was the food on offer at the bar. An absolute gem of a place for a walking holiday.

The room, bed, comfort and cleanliness all exceeded our expectations. The hosts were brilliant and very helpful. We were walking the Lady Anne Way over 8 nights and this was the best accommodation we had - a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Location was excellent and parking so easy. Well equipped apartment with lovely views. Fab bathroom and comfy bed. Bottle of prosecco in the fridge was a lovely touch (it was my wife's birthday).
