Very friendly staff/home owner! She made us feel very welcome, served us delicious breakfast and even had the option of a packed lunch. The room is very comfy and clean.
Extremely peaceful, super comfy beds. Everything was provided (towels, kettle, tea, water, shower gel etc...)

Very conveniently located in a beautiful setting alongside Loch Lomond. Breakfasts were served buffet style but also with a full cooked breakfast included and in a pleasant room overlooking the loch. Food was delicious. Initially booked into a room with a rain leak from the ceiling onto the internal window sill but staff were able to book me into a change of room for the three nights and this room was a slight upgrade, comfortable and with all facilities provided. Very satisfactory stay.
Location was absolutely stunning, lodge had great facilities, everything we needed for a relaxing evening together. Darren could not have been a more helpful host. We had walked from Balmaha that day and just missed the last ferry across to Ardlui. Darren went down to the ferry terminal to ask them to come back over and collect us and they did! Also upon seeing how exhausted we all were, he then went and collected our bags from the hotel. Would highly recommend staying, and a huge thank you to Darren
The hotel in its heyday must of been absolutely fantastic but sadly now it seems to lost something special.
Was so excited to stay there while on my trail of the WHW , there was No water flow got moved room it was no better really and bed was extremely uncomfortable out of the whole of the WHW stays along the way this was the most expensive and disappointing.
Lovely setting at the top end of Loch Lomond. It's not a big flashy hotel but everything was there that was needed for myself and sister. Enjoyed the evening meal. Nice comfy bed with pullout sofa in room. very handy for travelling north with easy parking. The Drover Inn further up the road was fascinating, well worth a walk around.
Our room had a great view of the Loch. We had dinner in the pub restaurant, the food was good but the service was a little slow.
Best thing about this hotel is it's location, right on the shore of Loch Lomond. I loved my early morning walk along the loch shore
The hotel has a magnificent view to the lake. The room was spacious. Dinner was delcious (the dishes are big and a bit expensive, so I would recommend sharing) and breakfast was also very good. The staff is very freindy.
This was a convenient stopover on the way back home from Skye. The accommodation was adequate for our family with dog and we were able to have dinner at the hotel. The breakfast was fine also and the staff were helpful.
Large room, modern bathroom, excellent food at the restaurant. Staff went above and beyond to help, especially Reina. Lovely beer garden. Looks like a good base for walking trails accessible by boat.
Lovely hotel, very comfy and warm. Lynne went out her way to look after me including organising a lift back to the WHW in the morning when they ferry wasn't running. Highly recommend stopping here.
Stunning location!!!! Darren, the host, was so welcoming and attentive. Lodge was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Very comfy beds. Lovely food at the Ardlui hotel restaurant.
Great staff, great service. Very comfortable room and high standard of hotel facilities. As a walker doing the West Highland Way, the ferry service was invaluable.
What a cute hotel. I loved my room it was a bit more spacious than my other accommodations so far. The dinner was fantastic and the bar was cozy and inviting.
