The property is beautiful and the hosts couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect for our needs and the fact it has a small fridge is a bonus.

Lovely place, very comfortable bed. A couple of tired areas but the place is undergoing refurbishment.

This was cosy little property where everything worked.
It was well located for what I needed, warm, secure and welcoming.

The Location is good for visiting and walking around the local area. Unfortunately for us the weather was awful but we still had good visits to Cockermouth and Whitehaven.
The Hound Inn is 100 yards up the road is a lovely pub but has limited opening hours and they are fearful for their future.
The immediate area is very run down but we found it very peaceful at night.
We had meals at our accommodation so didn't eat out.

Good value accommodation can be booked here.
Good value accommodation can be booked here. Location close to some of the great places in the Lake District (waterfalls, castle, walks, triathlons), not too long drive. The village itself got great walks which are used for training- running or for walks. Good pub, dog-friendly places all around. Very quiet place but not far from the motorway. Easy free parking. Large petrol station not far from the village with all you need, + Greggs, Subway.
