Couldn’t fault this hotel for the price we paid. Louby on reception was extremeley helpful and friendly. Great location as well next to the airport, we got around the island by long walks (which was the purpose of our visit) and buses.

We liked the hosts' hospitality , changed towels everyday, accomodated our requests. Breakfast was delicious. We always had hot water in the shower without any problems. Bed and pillows comfortable. Had a hairdryer.

The room was big and warm. The personnel are really nice and helpful. The Internet works really fast and I even had Netflix at the hotel TV.
It's up to you if you prefer to have breakfast at the hotel or want to go for a walk and eat something nearby.

Very clean and cozy place. Lovely complementary breakfast.

The countryside was lovely and the outside of the two barns but inside was a disappointment. The 3 bed deluxe was not large enough for a wheelchair user. The bathroom & toilet was down the corridor and the kitchen was shared and not kept clean.
Eathing out nearby was poor - only 1 pub with a very limited menu.

Just 'passing through' this time - we've stayed there (...
Just 'passing through' this time - we've stayed there (Ballasalla) with young family years ago with TT 'homestay' - in a small cottage with too few beds! (we were 'making do'). On that occasion we thought it exciting to be handy for the train into Douglas to 'commute' in - though we found it 'too slow' if there were 'other things' we wanted to do in town! Better going the 'other way' for visits to Castletown and Port Erin (end of the line!) Years ago we went to Castle Rushen and didn't think much of it...but thankfully, recently it is much improved and informative - a pleasure to visit (last year). Also last year we were delighted to be recommended (TV TTcoverage!) the TT teas in the local church hall and can confirm they were indeed FAB (though a bit over-subscribed - busy - helpers run off their feet - with many locals as well as TT fans!!!). Enjoyed going on to the cafe (Two-zero?) on the far side of the airport, though it was quiet this time (Sunday morning) but a pleasant ride round with lots of things to see - interesting scenery natural/man made.
Look forward to our visit next time!
Enjoy!

Ballasalla has a very nice Manx National Historical property...
Ballasalla has a very nice Manx National Historical property of Rushen Abbey in its centre. Unfortunately, the remains of the Abbey are very limited, but the exhibition area and the explanation panels help very much to visualize the past. Also the newly laid-out park is nice for a stroll or quite reading on a bench. Certainly worth a visit. Otherwise in the vicinity is the Silver Glen with a small lake, a nice play area for children and an ice-cream parlour. Also good to spend a sunny afternoon. Additionally, there is the famous Monks Bridge (the oldest in the Island) and the excellent Abbey Restaurant.

Ballasalla is mainly the airport, but is very close to Castletown the medieval capital. There is a restaurant near the shore but nothing else, very close to other interesting places and for exploring
The Sefton Express turned out to be an excellent base from which to tour the island for our week long stay. Our standard en-suite room was clean and comfortable - the fact it was compact in size reflected by the price. The staff made us feel welcome and while we did not sample the cafeteria-style daytime/evening menu we found the continental breakfast good value. The hotel enjoys a peaceful, scenic setting despite being situated between the airport and a business park - we'd stay again!
The stay included everything we needed, but the aspect which stood out the most, was the exceptional lady who tried to accommodate us when our return flights back to the UK were cancelled with exceptionally short notice. She went above and beyond in her attempt to help us out of an awfully stressful situation, even going as far as to book local taxis to enable us to reach a local hotel near the ferry terminal. Not sure of this ladies name, but it was the evening of the 27th Aug
I guess most people tend to stay here for one or two nights prior to their flight and, save for a bed on the runway, this is as close to and convenient for the airport as one can get. This is a perfectly respectable chain hotel with en suite facilities and continental breakfast. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, car parking is adjacent to the hotel and it is clearly signposted. Clean and convenient.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was walking distance from the hotel. Staff arranged taxis for me for the morning which were inexpensive for the short journey I took to the local golf course.
