Absolutely disgusting hotel!! The worst service we have ever encountered

Breakfast was good. Dinner was mediocre.
We thought from the advertisements on booking.com that we would be in Wells but we were a distance out in the country.

Lovely decor. Lively friendly vibe. Comfortable bed with good quality linen. Very clean. Excellent shower with up market toiletries. Nice staff. Great wine bar with food available downstairs. Well sound proofed room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Good advice as to where to head for breakfast. Nice location just on the edge of the central part of the city. Reasonably cheap over night car park within easy walking distance.

Binegar is an old cultural town. Peaceful and calm.
Binegar is an old cultural town. Peaceful and calm. The popular fish & Chip was really good. It is easy to get around if you have your own transportation, but I think there is a public bus too. If I have a chance I will come again here.

Binegar was just part of the address, not sure if it is a nearby village. The nearest town is Shepton Mallet, which is an interesting historic town, but sadly after trekking all the way uphill to where the Tourist Information was signposted, we found it had closed down! Also, it was Wednesday, which apparently means a lot of things are closed and the town was rather deserted.
A better place to visit is the nearby small city of Wells, which has a marvellous cathedral and fine historic quarter, plenty of cafes and some interesting shops.
Unless you particularly want to visit, avoid the area around Wookey Hole, especially during school holidays!
