The room was comfortable but decor was an unsuccessful attempt at "upscale, shabby chic"; the painted rough timber was a bit industrial. Added to this, the decor elsewhere in the room was tired and looked as if it had been "done on the cheap".
Public areas were better but the restaurant was quite cool when we ate dinner at 7.30pm. The food was fine but we didn't have breakfast as it wasn't included in the rate.
Set in Quarndon and only 26 km from Donington Park, Old Croft Stables offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.
