As we have stayed at Haddon House before we knew it was an excellent hotel. Very comfortable rooms, lovely food and a nice ambiance.

Very well organised and comfortable, perfect for relaxing. Really liked the little touches such as leaving classic fm playing in the room before returning after day out.
Beds are super comfortable too.

The "reception" area in the pub is a little chaotic but the greeting was warm enough and check-in easy. The room, with a view over the side of the pub and the river beyond was clean and had everything we needed including a hospitality tray. The bathroom was modern, light and spacious. The room could use new carpet and, maybe a bit of a refresh but it was all clean and perfectly serviceable. The George is well positioned for everything that West Bay has to offer. Breakfast was generous and freshly cooked with an excellent choice. There is also parking for residents at the side of the hotel but the seagulls pose a bit of a problem and our car looked as though someone had thrown a bucket of white paint over it come the morning. It was so bad that we had to borrow the hotel's hose to clean the worst of it off and find a car wash later in the day. It might be nice if they considered erecting some form of awning to keep the worst of this off the cars although I appreciate that with the seaside come seagulls! All in all not a bad stay but we felt that a little more attention to detail could really elevate this place (eg flower tubs and baskets, wash the seagull poop off the front elevation, better presented reception, small fridge in the room etc etc).

Design, build and finish of the hut is supurb with some really nice and clever features. Although close to the farm, it's not overlooked which is handy if using the hot tub... which we did almost immediately after arrival and spent hours sat in it drinking champagne whilst star gazing. The hut is lovely and warm and there's also a log burner with wood ready to use if you're visiting during the colder months of the year.
It is stunningly beautiful. Fantastic scenery and walks.
It is stunningly beautiful. Fantastic scenery and walks. Friendly, helpful people, beach, riverside, stunning cottages, rich wildlife. The shops sell basics only, but good range of shopping in nearby Bridport. The post office/ farm shop sells excellent quality local produce (amongst the best sausages ever).
There is a superb bus service travelling between all the coastal resorts, West Bay, Bridport, Weymouth etc. Sone of the buses are open top and this is a lovely way to see the wonderful scenery.
The Hive cafe on the beach is great.
This is a good place to visit with a dog. Plenty of places for walks and exercise - dogs are allowed on part of the beach.
Not for those who want nightlife, or entertainment, but was ideal for us. We love it and can’t wait to go again.

Small place with few amenities, but great views and beautiful place for walking. Local pub just 2 miles away called the crown, great food and friendly welcome. The Freshwater caravan park is cosy with ten pin bowling, indoor pool, outdoor pool, shop, cafe and evening entertainment, more for kids to do than adults.
West bay is a 20 minute walk though not safe by night as coastal path, taxi was £8 each way.

The location was great but the property is not suitable for overseas travellers. There were no towels provided and no instructions as to the hot water system, heating, etc. The reception staff were not very helpful. I would not recommend this property.
