The accommodation was excellent and very stylish and comfortable. The large walk-in shower is ideal. I think a chair in the bedroom would be a good idea wasn't all that fussed on the hanging space but the room is very comfortable. The staff in restaurant and reception are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent position situated right beside the beautiful park and especially this time of year with all the glorious colours of the trees. The Forest Park makes Castlewellan a great place to visit. There are a few nice wee shops, and it’s close proximity to Newcastle makes it a good location too. You can stay in quiet Castlewellan yet be near the sea and the Forest and the Mournes.JamesUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Lovely part of N Ireland and county down to visit with breath taking views of the countryside and mountains of Mourne. Great pubs and restaurants to visit and would recommend the Burrendale hotel for food and atmosphere, and if country and western music is your thing they seem to have regular events.martinUnited Kingdom
