Sarah and Tony were great hosts, The property was really clean and had a lovely fresh fragrant scent on entering the property.
Breakfast was yummy and set us up for the day.
Sarah took the time to recommend places where we could get a nice evening meal which was very kind.
The property is an old building and decorated to compliment which we liked, you could imagine in years gone by stage coaches turning up on route to London.

Location is perfection. Right in the middle of the old part of the city and a very short walk to the cathedral. The Family room in the attic was great, we opened the window and listened to the birds, there was a door between the master bedroom and the kids room which is always nice. Breakfast was lovely.

The manor is quite stylilsh, in a secluded place and far away from the buzz. The gardens look nice and they have all things you might need at spot: bar, restaurant, and spa.

A spacious room and bathroom with oodles of olde world charm. The staff were lovely and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home.
The breakfasts were delicious and the bed very comfortable.
In our past, caves were more than mere shelters; they were sanctuaries of warmth, peace, and culture. Today, Cave Hotel embodies this essence, offering an escape that transcends the ordinary.

An ancient village with two good pubs and a wonderful house...
An ancient village with two good pubs and a wonderful house in the centre where the gardens are opened to the public regularly. Good walking in the region and for using it as a base for Canterbury visits and for exploring the North Downs.

A beautiful Kent village with lots of history.
A beautiful Kent village with lots of history. Films have been made here and the buildings are amazing. A walk around the village is a must + a visit to the local tea shop or pub (or both). The castle is worth a visit. Excellent location.
If it would be possible we would give the Smithy Cottage 11/10 rating! The owner Michelle takes care of the guests with with love and an extreme eye for detail. The welcome cookies, the shower soaps and the soft and fresh linen for the comfortable beds. There was plenty of information and tips for her guests. The location is superb on the old square of the charming village Chilham, opposite of the White Horse, very traditional pub and over 600 years old.
Good location for us,walking the pilgrims way. Close to Chilham village. Nice clean bedding, with feather pillows. Nice little shower gel, shampoo and conditioner toiletries. Tea tray also included biscuits. Can't comment on breakfast because we left early in the morning, but the staff were helpful in offering us water to take with us.
The location was perfect, right down a short road from the train station. Wifi was free and worked well. The hosts were congenial and concerned about my needs.
Chilham is perhaps the most historic of the villages I have visited along the way.
Lovely location in the centre of Chilham village. The cottage itself is a charming historic building, full of character. The interior has been beautifully refurbished and is an exceptionally comfortable place to stay.
The Old Alma Inn is right beside Chilham train station, so perfect for travel to Canterbury etc. I did however notice a sizeable carpark also. It is a short walk into beautiful Chilham village.
