What a fabulous hotel this is, set in a tiny beautiful village of Montgomary in Wales .
Expect fantastic uneven wobbly floors which is very much expected re being built in Tudor times, def added to experience. Bed very comfy.
The star of the show is the staff..
Hannah on reception went over and above to help us with poss late arrival re booked dinner, she was a very warm happy reassuring person, def fantastic front of house, she sent us the menu asked to to pre order and would let chef know, she said not to worry and we would be accommodated, such a relief, food was freshly cooked when we got there and the lasagne was rhe best i have tasted .
Sarah in the bar and breakfast was so warm and helpful re our requests different to menu, she asked our names and wished us well..there were other bar staff both lovely but did not get here names..
Such a refreshing change to get a lovely hotel and fantastic staff..
We would def recommend this hotel if looking in this area of Wales

A lovely house in a beautiful garden. Debbie was a wonderful host, who couldn't have done more to accommodate us. The breakfast was amazing, with so many options, and happy to cater for vegetarians and vegans

The B & B is placed right in the centre of the town, is a short distance to most of the local attractions and makes a great base to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. The facilities are superb and the host is warm and welcoming. The breakfast was very good too. We'll certainly be going again.

The accommodation was spacious, had everything you needed and very comfortable bed, bathroom a very good size and lovely shower. We would definitely like to return for another visit and explore the area further.
We stayed here as it was close to Powis Castle and gardens, which was easy to get to. We can highly recommend The Stiperstones Pub for food. I had lamb shank which was delicious and the menu is extensive. It was one of the most welcoming places we've been on our many travels and will definitely be back. You need to book though as it fills up fast - a measure of its popularity!
Montgomery is a very pretty village/town and Bonners shop was one of those proper old shops which had a large range of bits and pieces and many rooms to explore, loved it.

VERY PICTURESQUE . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WALKING AROUND THE NARROW LANES DUE TO VEHICLES USING THEM. EATING ESTABLISHMENTS LIMITED HOWEVER THE TWO WHICH WE TRIED OFFERED A REASONABLE SELECTION OF DISHES OF GOOD QUALITY.
