The Collingbournes are on the main Salisbury road , so it's busy at peak times , but goes quieter in the evening . A short walk takes you onto the downs with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside . We drove out to Ludgershall Castle & several villages.....if you like walking , you will like this area .

The Barleycorn Inn where I stayed is actually in Collingbourne Kingston, not Collingbourne Ducis so this review is of Collingbourne Kingston. The village was easy to get to and a great base for a driving holiday as an A road runs through it. The neighbouring houses were impressive, and one was home to a group of chickens! It has a pretty church and a large field with horses. The Barleycorn Inn where we stayed was the only eating out place we knew of in Collingbourne Kingston and we ate all our meals over our 9 night stay there.PinkyUnited Kingdom
