If you like old school bed and breakfasts with a warm, friendly host I would heartily recommend HP. I vowed to only eat a full English breakfast for the first two days and ended up eating one every day they were so good. Pat even made me a bacon sandwich to take to the airport. She was so gracious and very fun to talk with.

It was just a lovely stay , you need a car to travel about and explore beautiful towns near to congleton . I enjoyed holmes chapel which wasn’t far. The food in the Swettenham arms was very nice . Also the. Red lion too if you want basic meals. I’m sure there are lovely walks but didn’t get that far as it was much too cold went I went . You need to be a countryside fan to enjoy the loft and surrounding areas

Never thought to visit the area, but I am glad that I did, its life at a slower pace and a chance to get back to nature, each village has its own unique character and charm. Every pub seemed to serve really great food and people actually smiled and were pleasant and chatty. In truth I did not see much of Congleton as a town as I was there for a walking trip but it is equipped with bus and train links to local and national locations. It is an extremely scenic area surrounded by hill, canals, rivers and small villages with great places to eat and drink.GARYUnited Kingdom

The price is fantastic value for money as the lodge houses up to 6 people but costs no more than a decent hotel room. The location is in a very rural spot with beautiful views of green fields and mountains, but the town of Congleton is only a short 5-10 minutes drive away with shops, restaurants and pubs galore.
