Views are fantastic and some nice walks on the door step.
Barman was very good at his job. Bar manager was on hand and helpful.
Reception were very welcoming.

Room was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Staff were very friendly/ Breakfast room was spacious and caught the morning sunshine. Breakfast was delicious and much better that some we have had in more expensive hotels.

This accommodation is in Castleside, which is just outside Consett. The countryside around the village of Castleside is beautiful. Consett is post industrial, not the prettiest town on the planet, but what you would expect from a history of Iron and coal mining in the North Pennines. The county of Durham has a wealth of history and great places to visit - so go and visit it all, the not so good balanced with beauty!

The room and ensuite was clean and beautifully appointed with a massive superking bed. Had a late lunch in the Antler Bar and Terrace, the fish and chips were fantastic with whisper-light batter. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I stayed here for convenience for an event in Consett, but will definitely return for a proper break here to take advantage of the location and health facilities I didn't wasn't able to this time.AntheaUnited Kingdom

I was staying with my daughters and they loved using the swimming pool. The weather was amazing when we were there and the hotel had a bouncy castle and park that kept them amused for ages. The staff were also friendly and helpful. One of my daughters fell over and cut both knees and the lady on reception was so attentive helping to clean her up and providing plasters.

There was a stunning view of the countryside from the window, a desk, a comfortable seating area and a coffee machine with Starbucks capsules. The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful if they tried, especially Freya, who found me an alternative room due to my noise issues.

Our room was clean, comfortably furnished and had a very large, comfortable bed. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is amply sized if you want.
