Croyde Bay Hotel or Self Catering, hotel in Croyde

Offering an indoor pool, Croyde Bay Resort is located behind the Sand Dunes on Croyde Beach. Free WiFi access is available.

We just came back from a weekend spent there and I must say everything was amazing. We stayed into a cottage and it was very spacious, with 2 showers. It was just opposite their playground and mini golf. Our girl enjoyed that very much and we did, too. Also, the pool was really nice, the water was warm, they had a jacuzzi and 2 saunas. So had plenty of relaxation as well. We would definitely go back.

The food (in the restaurant) is very nice and the view from the restaurant is also amazing. The hotel area is very quiet and away from high traffic. The rooms are super clean and the bathroom was very spacious and premium.

The Woolacombe Bay Hotel, hotel in Croyde

Boasting a seafront location, just 3-minute walk from Woolacombe Beach, The Woolacombe Bay Hotel offers a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness centre and restaurant.

A superb location and easy to find with a large car park. From checking in to checking out all the staff we met were courteous, professional and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean with great views from the balcony across to the sea. Large well appointed bathroom. Drinking water and fresh milk delivered to the room on request. We ate on site on both evenings plus had breakfast on one of the mornings and all the food was of exceptional quality. Didn't make use of the pools or spa facilities this time, but did use the cinema on the Saturday evening which proved to be a great experience and we particularly liked the two seater settee style seating and individual tables for placing our cocktails and snacks.

The Seagate, hotel in Croyde

The Seagate is a 17th-century hotel situated in the village of Appledore, overlooking the Torridge estuary.

The property is in a fabulous location right on the quay and you can get the ferry across to Instow daily. We were lucky to always find a parking space in the car park. We had a lovely big family room with a large king size bed and wonderful views. The bathroom was big and very well decorated. Nice little touches including biscuits, milk and tap water complimentary with a selection of items to buy too. The decor of the pub was lovely and there was good outside space at the front, side and rear (perfect for sitting in the sun). The food was a little hit and miss but my husband enjoyed the full Devon breakfast that he had every morning. The breakfast options were good with a fresh selection provided each morning in the bar.

Instow Barton, hotel in Croyde

We had a really warm welcome & were delighted with our large and pretty room with cake & fresh milk on the hostess tray.. Our breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola & fruit juice waiting on our table. Our bed was huge & comfortable: the room was very quiet and overlooked the Grade 1 listed church. We took our cycles with us and were able to keep them locked in a garage. All in all, a lovely property.

Top notch resort. Beautiful scenery & beaches.

Top notch resort. Beautiful scenery & beaches. Great resturants make sure you book to avoid disappointment! I would recommend the Manor@ Croyde & the Queens Arms at Georgeham If you need grocery supplies make sure you bring them with you as there are no supermarkets or convieience stores. There are a couple of lovely ice cream/coffee/pastie shops. The roads are very narrow which can be awkward for cyclists runners & walkers. However there's some amazing off road trails I'd recommend Baggy Point for a run or walk (no bikes allowed). Cyclists there are the Tarka trails! I'll definitely be going back.

    Loved the Beaches.

Loved the Beaches. Croyde has always been a family favourite. However, there is a lack of available accommodation at present, due to the number of staycations I expect. Also a lack of local restaurants, again made worse by the pandemic (the Thatch and Buds were both closed due to staff having to self isolate while other restaurants were not taking bookings and you just had to queue and hope you could get a table. The Manor Inn was great though. The Croyde Bay resort accommodation was very over-priced for very basic amenities. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was shabby and small - not as advertised online. We paid as much as a top class hotel per night so we were disappointed.

The cottage was lovely and so was the location, the lady host friendly. However it’s misleading that the cottage is advertised as a ‘romantic holiday cottage in Croyde near beach.’ As it’s in Darracot, some way from the beach and Croyde. It is however in a lovely quiet village.

Croyde is a brilliant little village and amazing beach, perfect for boarding. Very busy at the weekends which made social distancing hard. The beach was big enough for everyone to have space away and there is lots of places to explore. Plenty of ice cream shops make this a fab holiday destination. Make sure u book for the local pubs as super busy.

The location is isolated just enough to enjoy the outdoors and surroundings, the beaches were nice and clean and the local people very friendly and pleasant and very polite. I could see this exact location being my holiday spot for a few good years. Very very happy memories that I shall cherish for a long long time. Thank you Croyde.
