Great location - 10 minutes walk from station and very close to town center. Also in a relatively quiet part of the city. The room was large and clean and well appointed. It had a night light in the bathroom for safety. THANK YOU!

Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future.
Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future. You only have to look at the developments at the train station, and the fact part of the treasury is relocating there. A bigger brighter future for darlo awaits.

It was beautiful with lots of interesting history & it's got beautiful grounds which would be beautiful in the summer so can't wait to plan another trip to The George in the summer time. The room was very clean & had everything we needed. The only negative I have is we had to ask about information about meals etc but the staff were more than helpful

Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Local recreation and sightseeing, major train depot. I had good weather while I was there, nearly everything you need is within walking distance of most hotels.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful.
The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful. The boss is prepared to do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he really is a top man! The facilities are faultless, everywhere is clean and tidy. The kitchen has tea and coffee facilities, and can be used whenever needed, (obviously taking other guests into consideration)
My partner and I have stayed here twice now and would not stay anywhere else, we have found somewhere that's comfortable friendly professional and above all else brilliant value for money.
We are back in January!

Interesting places to visit. Steeped in history. Walking . Abundance of places to explore .
Great for Autumn walks, lazy village inns with eclectic beers.
Interesting points ;- Lewis Caroll ( Alice in wonderland; through the looking glass).
Not to far from James Herriot country.
Filming of Numerous television programmes including Happy valley near by.
Got to be honest. The hotel is shocking. My room was about what felt like a 10 ‘minute walk away it was never ending. I got to the room to find a very high ceiling which was wonderful… well would have been if not for the only window in the room being about 15 foot of the floor. Felt so dull and just not nice at all. Staff where fine. The bar prices is that of London and for being in Darlington seemed a bit cheeky charging £6 for a pint.
It was an emergency booking to visit a relative at Darlington Memorial Hospital. Having the keycode and being able to get into the property when it suited me (11pm) was a great bonus - it saved me the worry of having to rush to meet hosts and collect keys.
The photo detailing entrance to parking space was a life saver as I was able to find it very quickly and have my car parked at property without aditional costs.
We chose this hotel for its location since we were visiting family in nearby Darlington, and we were really happy with this choice! It is fairly easily accessible but still very quiet - out in the country side, just what we were looking for. Our room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. To welcome us we found a sample of home-made biscuits in the room, and it was lovely and warm and cosy at all times.
Lovely and cozy place. Pauline was very responsive to my questions and helpful. I was a bit concerned that I was going to be too far away from Darlington, etc., but was delighted to discover that I really could have walked to Teeside International Airport even though I did book a taxi in advance. Also, there was a nice pub nearby for my evening meal.
We have stayed there in the past and it is always good. This time through no fault of the hotel there was a power cut. No electricity from 4.30pm to 9.30pm. We would have eaten in the hotel but went elsewhere had to drive to Darlington. There was no recompense not even a free drink. A bit disappointing.
Close to railway station and with easy access to the Town centre. The hotel was very clean and fresh throughout. The bedroom/ bathroom of modern design with great shower. Spotless shared kitchen to prepare food/drinks. Friendly, helpful staff with good communication.
Stayed at the Blackwell Grange hotel for one night for business travel. we had an excellent stay. Beautiful facilities and surroundings. Very tastefully decorated. Friendly staff, comfortable room and great value for money.
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Fantastic restaurant.
I was in a West Wing room which was fairly basic, but very clean and perfect for my stay. The price was also very good (cheaper than a Premier Inn)
Lovely, quiet hotel in a pleasant location, a comfortable walk from the railway station and main attractions. Helpful, friendly staff. Comfortable, well equipped room. Pleasant restaurant.
The hotel is a few minutes from the railway station, and a few minutes from the hippodrome theatre, perfect location. I would definitely stay in this hotel again
Very good deal for a (small) double room with breakfast included. Beautiful location and hotel is an historic converted castle. Staff friendly and relaxed.
