An absolutely stunning dog friendly hotel.
Everything was perfect. We didn't know if we were going to make it due to having car problems on the mainland. But after a stressful journey we were given a room upgrade. The view over the bay was beautiful. We had dinner in the hotel and it was lovely and a great selection for breakfast (good veggie options!)

The hotel is up the hillside in Tobermory, as such had fantastic views, but is a steep walk up/down to/from the town.
The room was a good size with all needed amenities. Also the bonus of a wee cooler, which for someone like me who drinks far more fizzy juice than tea or coffee meant I could get my cans nice and cold.
Breakfast was buffet for cereals, toast, yougurt, tea, coffee and fruit juice. Hot items were ordered via the server and the plate brought to your table.
I ate in the lounge bar most nights and found the evening menu varied and a good price.
After I lost the use of my phone during my stay the staff were helpful organising taxis etc from reception.

The sea view is well worth the extra cost as the light on the water is constantly changing. the décor of the room is interesting, not entirely to my taste, but it was very clean and comfortable. The frig was full of all sorts of goodies, some of them for breakfast, including smoked salmon and cream cheese, croissants, yogurt and fruit salad. Most of it laden with sugar , which could be a point for improvement. Bathroom quite adequate apart from the absence of anywhere to put one's toiletries. Access from outside was easy and absence of staff on site was not a problem. The cleaners came in at about 10.30 so we knew when it was time to leave! Very luxurious and comfortable.

Dervaig is a very small village with one shop and the hotel.
Dervaig is a very small village with one shop and the hotel. Tobermory is 45mins away by bus but it was an experience on the single lane roads. But we loved it. If you value quiet this is it. Walking the hills is amazing and the views are to die for.

Really quiet and beautiful but well placed to visit other places on the island. Handy for Tobermory and sea and land trips you can book there. As we travelled to Tobermory a lovely route with great views we saw a pair of Golden eagles.

Lovely small village with a great pub that served delicious, well prepared food. Pretty Church and access to walks. You do need nerves of steel on the single, lane roads with hair pin bends but lots of passing spots and everyone patient and polite. Views and scenery breathtaking.
