Beautiful homestead setting that backs onto an active farm. The shared kitchen and dining was kept immaculate and faces a barn where you can hear the cows in the evening! Location is perfect for exploring The Peak District. Staff were all wonderful and helpful. Hot shower pressure was amazing and so welcome at the end of a day of walking/biking! Would 100% stay again. Wifi was weak at times, but was quite nice to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings.

Everything was perfect, except for the old mattress.
We loved the location. Walks in every direction, short drives to interesting places , matlock had caves, mines, spinning factories, fish and chip shops (8)
Bakewell had pubs, farmers markets, interesting shops. The bookshop near earl sterndale was a must.
Buxton had a lovely spa building with shops.
A walk behind the cottage up the hill was very interesting. We watched the quarry working.
There are plenty of steam train walks, but many of the touristy places were shut (which suited us fine) .
We need to return in the summer !
