Room we stayed in was really nice and near the stairway to the car but we could hear every door that opened when guest went back to their rooms. Shower room was really big and plenty of room for your cosmetics etc. Bed really comfy. Lots of internet tv options. We had a fridge which was great and there were complimentary homemade biscuits which were lovely but they were really small and only two of them. Seemed a bit mean considering the price of the room. Four would have been better. Happy with everything else in the refreshment shelf. Breakfast was really good, nice choice, fruit and yoghurt - this could have had a little more fruit, again seemed a bit mean considering the price band

Helen is a wonderful host, very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was a great choice. The surroundings are stunning and the room had everything we needed and more. The roll top bath was such a luxury. It is in an ideal location for access to Sheffield Arena and the Peak District, with a pub in walking distance. We will definitely stay again, even if it's just to see Helen again.

I visited nearby Renishaw Gardens after a 3 hour drive and spent an enjoyable afternoon there. Ravencar was the perfect location nearby for an overnight stay before continuing further north for a family event the following day.

I didn't take any time to see Eckington, as my reason for staying at Ravencar Farm was because of it's location being close to places I was visiting and meeting with friends. Perhaps on my next visit, I'll do one of the local walks.
