Last minute booking for this hotel following an awful stay at another place in Gairloch. The Millcroft turned out to be a great wee place to stay. Rooms where modern, spacious, clean, and had everything needed. Great shower, and comfy bed with a quiet nights sleep. Great location, with very helpful staff. Breakfast was decent and made to order. Both the hotel manager and all his staff couldn't be happier to help and offer assistance. Great vibe at the bar too. For the price and rating I would say this is easily one of the best options in the area to stay. This hotel actually had working TVs in the rooms, with good wifi, and nice views out of all the windows. Only a 2 minute walk to the waters edge, and a much nicer bar than other hotels around. It is also only a 5 minute walk up to the town area to get use of the local shops and cafe. This hotel was the saving grace of our trip, would definitely come back.

My room was small, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good, and the pub/restaurant for evening meals is an enjoyable place to spend time. The place isn't fancy, but is very comfortable and located in beautiful surroundings.
Nestled in the northwest highlands of Scotland, surrounded by breath taking scenery, Corriness House in Poolewe offers bed and breakfast with free parking and free Wi-Fi.

A super friendly and very attentive host, Ross, made us feel right at home at the ‚Corriness House‘.

Great place with spectacular, inspiring scenery, a nice little town with good facilities, nice cafe and farm shop as well as an excellent museum. The only downside when we visited was the local chippy only opened on Thursday, Friday and Saturday!😊

Gairloch is an easily accessed centre from which to explore the western Highlands; it also has some very acceptable sandy beaches. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs in Gairloch, but many are closed in winter.

Glass bottomed boat trip to see the seals highly recommended...
Glass bottomed boat trip to see the seals highly recommended. Knowledgeable skipper who allowed some of the children to drive the boat and earn a certificate.
Gairloch Museum, in a former nuclear bunker, is really well laid out and interesting for adults and children. The café is great too, with a view from its terrace.
Don't miss Inverewe Garden, and allow several hours to walk around this surprising collection of trees & plants which really shouldn't be able to thrive here! Great views too.

The accommodation here is amazing.
The accommodation here is amazing. It has friendly staff and the most beautiful view, from the lounge room it has one of the most breath-taking views in all of Scotland.
The hostel is remote from the main town (think car / not walk), but the caravan park is close enough to walk (15 mins). We experienced an unexpected 5 star dining experience at this restaurant and ate like kings!
Location and views amazing, on the flat to appreciate sea front, all staff genuinely friendly, very large room, massive bed (biggest on the whole NC500), good food with a mix of alternatives to fish, Hugh portions. Good breakfast. Not a boutique style decorated hotel but finished to a high standard compared to other hotels stayed in on this trip. Would like to return for a summer beach holiday.
Lovely location in Gairloch, only a five minute drive from the pier for excursions. Emma was a great host with lots of breakfast options, with a lovely modern and clean room overlooking the bay. Living room was nice spot to hang out in the evening, and a few options for dinner within walking distance too. Would come again!
Absolutely fantastic accommodations! Our room (#2) was spacious and beautifully appointed with modern and thoughtful amenities, and the view of the lake is sublime. Emma is a wonderful host who will go above and beyond for her guests. We would love to return one day and stay longer!
No water for shower. Staff said it would be a day for a plumber. First claimed that they were sold out. Eventually gave us a room without a view but with a shower. This was what we wanted, just not sure why we needed to go back and forth so much to get it.
The staff is very nice
Superb position on the beachfront
Very busy in restaurent but service and food was excellent with a good choice menu
Helpful and friendly staff. The owner is a lovely chap.
Plenty of space to relax indoors and outdoors.
Would like to return sometime in the future.
A truly lovely and very comfortable cottage in good location with beautiful views over the bay in Gairloch, a scenic, remote spot in Scotland's north. Spotless clean with everything provided a guest can wish for. Friendly owners. A true gem and feel good place.
Truly one of a kind, full of characters and history, beautiful and extremely well maintained inside and out, but the best part about our stay was the impeccable service. Everyone was so welcoming and attentive! Also loved the game room with the pool table!
Very much appreciated the later check in which allowed me to make the most of the dry weather. Lovely comfortable accommodation. Very clean and cosy. Slept soundly. Has great views in good weather. Close to all the spots I wanted to photograph. Nice hosts.
We appreciated the space and cleanliness of the room. The owners of this B&B are very kind (once again thanks for everything!). They think of everything. This B&B is also very close to the starting points of some interesting hikes near Gairloch.
Accommodation is very close to Gairloch port, beach and town centre. Gairloch is a really nice place and a good 'basecamp' for exploring the Western highlands. Mobile phone service at the accommodation was fairly good, as was the TV and DVD.
Comfortable, specious and clean room, decent selection of options for breakfast. Hotel located in a nice spot right at a small beach. Good location if you are looking for a stop on the Highlands route.
There is a restaurant/bar on-site with excellent food. Loved the outside patio near the old bridge. The staff was pleasant and we had fun with the other guests. Hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere.
Beautiful Loch side hotel. Staff were great, food was excellent. So glad we pushed the boat out and booked room 4. Amazing views. Stayed for 2 nights whilst doing the NC500 and will definitely return
The bedrooms and living room are in separate level and access with stairs, interesting setup. The house came with history. The restaurant has a beautiful view. The living room was spacious.
Hotel was amazing - had visited the public bar before but not the accommodation.
Rooms were spectacular and staff were great, very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is situated in a quiet and pleasant location. Accommodation was comfortable and met our needs. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.
